Marblehead is a guard gated community in San Clemente, California, that has a variety of condos, smaller homes, and luxury estates. This community is comprised of several neighborhoods.
Marblehead is located on the freeway’s east side between Avenida Pico and Vista Hermosa. It is next to Forster Ranch and the Coast District. Home construction has been ongoing since the 1980s, and the newest communities include Sea Summit at Marblehead, which showcased over 300 homes in 2015. New Providence is one of the condo neighborhoods and is very popular because of its detached home design. Other neighborhoods include Faire Harbor, Highland Light Village, Signal Point, Summit at Highland Light, Crest, and Highland Light Estates.
Community amenities include courts for tennis and basketball, as well as a park. Residents love the close proximity to the beach and the Ole Hanson Beach Club. Marblehead students are served by the Capistrano Unified School District which features facilities like nearby Marblehead Elementary School as well as highly ranked Shorecliffs Middle School and San Clemente High School. Residents may also chose a private school like Our Lady of Fatima Parish School, Our Savior’s Lutheran School, and Talega Preparatory Academy.
As of 2015, plans were in the works for the Retail Center at Marblehead Coastal, which will include shops, restaurants, a bookstore, and a multi-screen movie theater. There will be courtyards and charming paseos, as well as outdoor fireplaces and casual seating. The development will also be connected to many parks and trails, that will take residents down to the beaches.
San Clemente is considered to be one of the more affordable beach cities in Orange County. It is known for its ocean properties as well as its small town charm. San Clemente is also famous for its Spanish Colonial architecture, and its slogan is “Spanish Village by the Sea.” It is one of the best surfing cities in California because of the year-long swells.
